A Decade of Daring adventures in Nepal
Back in 2009, the founders of HighGround Adventures had a vision - To deliver mind-blowing, unparalleled adventure experiences in Nepal that would delight both international and domestic travelers.
With this vision in mind, they set off to work on the project, which officially took off on 2nd of June 2012 with the launch of the ZipFlyer Nepal project.
It all started with a wild idea and a few pints of beer. In 2009, three friends - Bharat, Abhinav, and Sharad - saw the potential for Nepal to become a top destination for extreme adventure sports. They knew the country's rugged terrain and stunning natural beauty would be the perfect backdrop for activities like ziplining and bungee jumping, and they set out to turn their vision into a reality.
Fast forward to 2012, and the team officially launched the ZipFlyer Nepal project. Located atop Sarangkot, with a landing spot almost 2km away in Hemja, this zipline was no ordinary ride. In fact, it's been recognized by Red Bull and National Geographic as one of the best zipline experiences in the world. But it wasn't easy - building the world's steepest zipline took a lot of hard work and determination, not to mention the support of their consultants.
Over the next few years, HighGround Adventures added even more excitement to their lineup, with bungee jumping and the SkyScreamer in Pokhara. And in 2022, they introduced a new adventure: Nepal's first off-road guided ATV trail tours, using state-of-the-art Kymco ATVs.
With over 150,000 adrenaline-seeking adventurers passing through their doors, it's safe to say that HighGround Adventures has made a big splash in the adventure industry. But they're not just in it for the thrills - they're also committed to giving back to the local community. Currently, they provide employment for over 100 people in Pokhara and Kathmandu, and they're always looking for ways to expand and grow.
